CEITEC is preparing to enter the promising market of power semiconductors based on silicon carbide (SiC), a strategic technology for the energy transition and high-efficiency applications such as electric vehicles, power infrastructure, and industrial systems. With support from FINEP through a technology procurement initiative, the company is already implementing a new process line dedicated to manufacturing these advanced devices, positioning Brazil as one of the few countries capable of producing SiC-based power semiconductors.

This initiative marks a decisive step in the revival of Brazil’s industrial policy for microelectronics, expanding CEITEC’s capabilities and contributing to national technological autonomy. The project includes investments in infrastructure, equipment acquisition, and the development of a specialized team, in addition to partnerships with research institutions and key industry players.
