CEITEC is a state-owned company under the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) that operates in the semiconductor sector.

As a strategic initiative by Brazil to ensure full technological sovereignty in semiconductor manufacturing, CEITEC fosters and contributes to adding value and competitiveness to the national economy. The company is equipped to develop products with the highest level of information security for strategic projects. The development of a national semiconductor industry and the strengthening of the supply chain that depends on these technologies are key to advancing microelectronics in Brazil.

With a strong track record in the development and manufacturing of integrated circuits using radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology, CEITEC has achieved significant results through the commercialization of its products and has contributed to several national research and development projects, including sensor technologies for applications in healthcare and agribusiness.

Its current portfolio primarily serves the RFID segments for logistics, vehicle identification, and animal identification. In addition, the company offers a wide range of semiconductor-related services, including Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Testing, Thinning and Dicing, Microfabrication, and advanced laboratory testing.

In line with market developments and new trends driven by the energy transition and decarbonization, the company is currently upgrading its production capabilities to enter the power electronics segment based on silicon carbide (SiC), with production expected to begin in 2028.

Design Center

CEITEC Design Center has more than 60 highly qualified engineers and is responsible for developing new products. The professionals have the mission to develop products for the market segments in which CEITEC SA operates, as well as provide technical support to customers.

Plant

CEITEC Fab is fully equipped to produce integrated circuits and microstructures until 350 nm in silicon and glass wafers, counting also with a wafer post-processing line (test, backgrinding, dicing and IC micromodule encapsulation). CEITEC has a unique infrastructure in Brazil, allowing development and local production of electronic devices, sensors, photonic devices, microfluidic devices, among others. CEITEC can cooperate with the development of solutions in strategic areas such as electronic, telecommunications, energy, health, and agribusiness.
