CEITEC S.A. is a state-owned semiconductor company reporting to the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC). CEITEC develops solutions for automatic identification (RFID and smartcards) and specific applications. The company designs, manufactures and sells integrated circuits (chips) for applications like asset inventory management, personal identification, vehicle identification, animal identification, among others. Located in the city of Porto Alegre, CEITEC plays an important role in the strategic development of Brazilian microelectronic industry.

Design Center

CEITEC Design Center has more than 60 highly qualified engineers and is responsible for developing new products. The professionals have the mission to develop products for the market segments in which CEITEC SA operates, as well as provide technical support to customers.

Plant

CEITEC Fab is fully equipped to produce integrated circuits and microstructures until 350 nm in silicon and glass wafers, counting also with a wafer post-processing line (test, backgrinding, dicing and IC micromodule encapsulation). CEITEC has a unique infrastructure in Brazil, allowing development and local production of electronic devices, sensors, photonic devices, microfluidic devices, among others. CEITEC can cooperate with the development of solutions in strategic areas such as electronic, telecommunications, energy, health, and agribusiness.
